Delete Your Account

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Please send the email from the address associated with your MyStoryMates account so we can verify your identity.

We will process your request and delete your account within 30 days.

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

• Your account profile and email address
• All Story Mate characters, including names, descriptions, and generated illustrations
• All stories, including text, illustrations, cover images, and audio narrations
• Any reference photos still stored on our servers (reference photos are typically deleted automatically after character creation)
• Story and character credit balances
• Subscription and plan preferences
• Analytics data linked to your account

Certain records are retained after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Transaction and billing history — purchase records, invoices, and payment transaction logs are retained for up to 7 years for tax, legal, and accounting compliance. These records do not contain full payment card details (payment processing is handled by Stripe).

No other personal data is retained after the 30-day deletion window.

If you have an active subscription, we recommend canceling it before requesting account deletion. You can cancel your subscription from your account settings within the app, or include a cancellation request in your deletion email. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play or Stripe subscription — we will confirm this with you before processing the deletion.
